General Terms and Conditions
(Following Pakistan’s Laws, Rules, and Regulations for Rental Services)
Raptor Tech Introduction & Information
- We RAPTOR Tech (SMC) are a private limited company registered under Security Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), herein after shall be called a “Company”. This company is introducing mobility startup and the first one of its kind in Pakistan to introduce smart, dock-less, e-Scooter services keeping in view the future urban transportation issues and shall provide an affordable, eco-friendly, and tech driven solution to minimize carbon emissions and offer seamless last-mile connectivity across Pakistan’s busiest cities.
- We have got our own fully integrated digital platform for registration of our customers. Our e-Scooters commute services shall be provided on “FIXED RIDE CHARGES” with NO hidden taxes or fees. We have established specified e-Scooter parking areas with charging facilities of the batteries of the Scooters. All such information is available on mobile phone application, our web sites to facilitate the customers.
- In order to enhance the safety of our valued customers, we have devised a speed limiting system and safety guidelines which shall remain in force and are mandatory to adhere.
Customer Eligibility/Registration
- All citizens of Pakistan over the age of 18 years having a valid CNIC / Passport / Driving License can become our users /customers.
- The customer must possess a web enabled mobile device, which will be tested for compatibility with our mobile application.
- The customer must adhere to the clause of maintaining sufficient mobile data in his / her mobile account in order to maintain a two- way web communication with our servers.
By getting registered with our company the “user”, “agrees” to abide by all the terms, conditions, clauses, added therein, from time to time and acknowledges that the “company” reserves the right to deny / refuse any services or / and product to any customer without assigning any reason and thereof, it will be considered final thus, no legal bindings.
The “company” for the sake of updates of its assets and for the well being of their valued customers / users, and to remain abreast with the e-Scooter operations, with NO prejudice to the security and privacy, shall reserve the right to receive / obtain real time location of the users and the same has been included in the eligibility pre-requisites.
Following are elaborated for the ease of understanding and assimilation of the user / customers /members:
General
- Subject to the available of e-Scooters with us, in some cities we will offer the group rides to facilitate the friends / guests of our valued customers. In that case the registered customers shall account for the charges of all the rides (group rides). At the same time, he / she shall be responsible for any misconduct of their guests.
Before Starting the Ride
The “user” MUST ensure that, mobile device has sufficient balance or packet data for web based two-way communication between the user and the company servers throughout the rides’ duration.
- The battery of the mobile device running / displaying the RAPTOR Tech app is sufficiently charged and no battery failure occurs until the user completes the ride and the company is satisfied over the safe custody of e-Scooter at specified parking.
- Any defect or malfunction found in the e-Scooter by the user / customer while choosing the ride of his / her choice, should be immediately conveyed to the company through the app, failing which, the ride will be considered as accepted and will be charged
- It’s the user’s responsibility to understand and check the functionality and operations of the e-Scooter and if he / she finds any anomaly / discrepancy that should be either clarified or / and reported to the “Company”
On The Move
- The rented / hired e-Scooter shall only be used within a defined territory. Any violation (if found / detected) shall be considered as a willful omission with malafides intentions and may be taken up for trial under the laws of the land
- The user shall NOT in case of riding the scooter, willfully or inadvertently restrict the location services of his / her mobile device on which the concerned app has been installed.
- Only the selected route for the ride should be used, any deviation from the specified route will create automatic alarm and your ride may be blocked / terminated.
Completing the Ride
- On completion of every ride the usage details of minutes will be displayed on the home page of the user’s app and in addition to that, an invoice will be generated and sent to the registered e-mail of the customer.
- On arrival at the destination “user” shall update the effect by using the app and before leaving must ensure the secure and safe parking of the e-Scooter and account for his / her belongings. Any personal item / valuable left behind on the parking lot / e-Scooter is not the responsibility of the “Company” and cannot be claimed.
Liabilities
- In case of any injury to the rider, damage to the property, violation involving Law Enforcing Agencies, theft or any other unusual happening during the rides’ duration is the responsibility of the “User” to inform the local Police, without any loss of time.
- Theft, damage to the property, loss of e-Scooter, traffic violation, fine, 3rd Party claim, or any other act of distress involving the “user” /customer during the duration of the ride OR as an aftermath OR consequential tracking by the affected / aggrieved will be the sole responsibility of the “user”.
- The “Company” reserves the right to claim the costs etc. from the registered customer for the damages / loss, arising thereof, during / as a sequel to the ride as intended / otherwise in conflict with the guidelines / procedures mentioned / explained in documents.
Don’ts
- The use of e-Scooters is strictly forbidden for the users’ / customers who are under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or / and other intoxication which impair their judgement response and reflexes. This act is otherwise violation of the state laws on the subject.
- Riding without safety / crash helmet is forbidden.
- DO NOT carry or / and ride with de-shaped and overweight cargo which shall put the e-Scooter under more than 100 Kgs of load.
- DO NOT leave the e-Scooter unattended during any phase of ride.
- Commercial use as a passenger transport mode and un authorized repairs are “NOT ALLOWED”.
- The “Company” DOES NOT allow the usage of e-Scooters to the users below 18 years of age.
- One e-Scooter is meant to be used by only one person. DO NOT ride two persons on one e Scooter.
- DO NOT park the e-Scooter at the blind corners, traffic squares, walls of official buildings, sensitive areas, restricted areas and rush places. Only Park in commercial parking zones.
